Therapies & treatment

A range of natural therapies are available to you. Nutritional therapy, psychotherapy, counselling and talk therapy; lifestyle review and coaching; vibrational & energy medicine and distance reiki are some you may have heard of.  I have also recently added meditation therapy to the list which involves listening to a set of my guided visualisations and answering questions which reveal hidden patterns and behaviours. Many people decide to contact me because they have been recommended by a friend, colleague or family member. It is not necessary for you to know which therapy you are interested in (or may need) before making contact. If you are considering treatment, I would suggest that you contact me by e-mail and arrange for a brief chat on the 'phone. That way you can give me a brief outline of your concerns and I can advise you of how we may be able to work together. I aim to combine therapies in an individual way to best suit the needs of each person. No two treatment programmes are the same as no two people are ever the same - even you are not the same from one day to the next!

If at the end of that conversation you decide to go ahead with an initial consultation, we can make an appointment. If you decide not to go ahead at that time, there is no charge and no obligation at all and you are welcome to come back to me at any time in the future. Please be aware that, because of data protection and client confidentiality, I am only able to discuss third parties if they are children under the age of 18 for whom you are directly responsible.

Once an appointment has been made, I will send you a questionnaire by e-mail for you to complete and send back to me prior to an initial appointment which lasts approximately 1.5 hours. All consultations start with a long conversation. No-one knows your body and behaviours as well as you yourself do and there is no better place to begin. 

During the initial session, it is our intention to understand what is going on for you, how you arrived at the place you're at today and what your goals and aims are. Once we have that information, we are in a good place to start working out a plan of action. Together we will start to formulate a manageable treatment programme for you to start working on at home. This obviously varies greatly depending on the reason for you seeking help - it could include dietary and lifestyle changes; nutritional supplements or natural remedies; guidance about food, water, sleep and exercise; relaxation or meditation recommendations or stress and energy management techniques or all of the above! Each person is unique and so will their plan be.

We work together step-by-step until you are feeling better.  Sessions continue for as long as is appropriate.  Many clients continue with regular maintenance sessions to help them stay well and keep on top of things after the initial issues have been dealt with.
